Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Philippines -- Soldiers from the 2nd Infantry Brigade, 25th Combat Aviation Brigade, United States Army Pacific conducted off-load equipment operations, at the Port of Subic Bay, Philippines, in preparation for exercise Salaknib. Salaknib is historically a two-week army-to-army exercise between the United States Army and the Philippines Army. This year, additional U.S. and Filipino Army exercises are being planned to increase engagement and interaction with our Filipino allies. The purpose of this exercise is to increase military readiness and interoperability, strengthen relationships, and enhance the jungle warfare ability of both the U.S. Army and the Philippines Army.
