U.S. Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 2nd Mobile Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 11th Airborne Division, along with Indonesian, Indian, French, and Japanese service members, conduct a multinational airborne jump as part of Super Garuda Shield 26 at Gatot Subroto Airfield and South Sumatra, Indonesia, Sept. 4, 2026. Super Garuda Shield is an annual exercise between the Indonesian National Armed Forces and U.S. military designed to strengthen bilateral interoperability, capabilities and cooperation.
