U.S. Army Pacific Commanding General, Gen. Ronald P. Clark, recently traveled to Australia in support of Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025. During the visit to the Northern Territory, he observed joint live-fire training conducted by U.S. and Australian forces, including operations by the 3rd Multi-Domain Task Force (MDTF) as they prepared to deploy and fire the U.S. Army’s Mid-Range Capability system.
In Townsville, Clark met with Australia’s Secretary of Defence to discuss regional security challenges, enhanced interoperability, and joint posture initiatives.
While in Canberra, Clark held separate engagements with U.S. Embassy leadership and the Australian Chief of Army, Lt. Gen. Simon Stuart. Discussions focused on strengthening security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific, improving combined readiness, and aligning ongoing Army transformation efforts.
The visit concluded with a joint wreath-laying ceremony at the Australian War Memorial, where both generals honored the service and sacrifice of Australian and American soldiers.
