Pacific Friendship 2026: US, VPA sUAS Demonstration Flight Training
18th Theater Medical Command
June 25, 2026 | 1:37
Oregon National Guard Maj. Blake Echeverri, assigned to the 125th Special Tactics Squadron, discusses the value of small unmanned aerial system exchanges during Pacific Friendship 2026 in Quang Tri, Vietnam, June 26, 2026. The exchange brought together U.S. and Vietnamese personnel for classroom instruction, live flight demonstrations and hands-on familiarization with sUAS operations to strengthen technical knowledge between the partner forces. Pacific Friendship is an annual U.S. Army Pacific-led bilateral engagement focusing on the U.S.-Vietnamese People's Army's humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, as well as various medical and engineering activities to advance the mutual interest of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
