Academic Intern Pathway 1
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Students should have at least one full year of academic study left.
Students are admitted twice per year in cohorts. If you miss the deadlines listed below for your desired semesters, your application may be considered for the following year or semester, pending availability. Opportunities are competitive and based on current operational needs.
Interested candidates should be enrolled in an academic or a formal apprenticeship program to apply.
Application Deadline for Summer Cohort: February 25th (of current year)
Application Deadline for Fall & Spring Cohorts: April 25th (of current year)
Applicants who are entering their junior or senior year of a bachelor's degree program will receive priority, as will first- and second-year master's students currently enrolled in a PhD program. Applicants who do not meet these exact qualifications may still apply, but applicants in the desired academic levels will be given preference. Students who have already graduated are ineligible for this program.
The program is designed for college students interested in STEM, research, and emerging technologies, and students from all majors are welcome to apply. Civic-minded students with an interest in public service careers are especially valued. Applicants are reviewed holistically and with consideration of operational needs. Applicants are encouraged to include any specialized skills, research experience, volunteer work, and other noteworthy activities that demonstrate exceptional potential in their applications.
