Cultural Sensitivities Around Death and Religion
TAHITI, French Polynesia-- Soldiers from 962 Quartermaster Company meet with a chaplain from the French Armed Forces French Polynesia to gain an understanding of cultural sensitivities around death and religion that could impact their work as mortuary affairs specialists during Exercise Marara 26 in Tahiti, French Polynesia, June 5, 2026. MARARA 26 is a French-led multinational exercise in French Polynesia that enhances interoperability and strengthens humanitarian assistance and disaster response capabilities among Indo-Pacific allies and partners.
