FORT SHAFTER, Hawaii –
In a demonstration of the ironclad alliance between the United States and the Republic of Korea, senior military leaders from the Republic of Korea's Capstone General and Admiral Officer Course visited U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) headquarters on Jan. 27, 2026.
During the engagement, USARPAC Deputy Commanding General Strategy and Plans Maj. Gen. J. S. Cornelia, reinforced the importance of the alliance. This engagement fostered a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of USARPAC's strategic priorities and operational posture across the Indo-Pacific.
The visit provided a forum for strengthening personal and professional bonds. Since its establishment in 1953, the Alliance has proven strong and durable in the face of new global conditions and is among the most interoperable, capable, and dynamic bilateral alliances in the world.
