SGT Erik R. Williams
SGT Erik R. Ryan Williams joined the Army in November of 2006, with the hope of learning a trade he could use as a civilian while serving in the Army Reserve. He quickly realized that he wanted to be an active duty Soldier and enlisted in the Army in 2008 which he stated was the best decision of his life. SGT Williams attended Air Assault School, Sapper Leader Course and Warriors Leader Course where he earned a spot on the Commandants list. Upon successful completion of Sapper School, he was pinned Corporal and given a spot as 20 level team leader. SGT Williams was assigned to Hawaii in June 2011 and promoted to Sergeant in February 2011. His short term goals include attending Advanced Leaders Course, promotion to Staff Sergeant, completion of Ranger School, and becoming a Sapper Instructor at Ft. Leonard Wood. His long term goals are to achieve the rank of Sergeant Major and retire after successfully serving in the United States Army. SGT Williams is married and have a step daughter who attends the University of Missouri. They are planning to retire to the area around Fort Leonard Wood upon completion of his military career.
